Role overview

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (TS/SCI) to work onsite with U.S. Government customers on data collection, analytics, visualization, and user workflow automation. Focus areas include geospatial data, cloud-based processing, and emerging data science techniques to support national security missions. Location: Springfield, VA. Salary: USD 137,000 – 228,000 per year. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology fields. Minimum experience: 8 years.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, efficient software solutions for mission-critical applications
• Engage across the full development lifecycle from planning to maintenance
• Apply software standards to deliver high quality, extensible, and maintainable solutions
• Leverage cloud tech stacks to extract, manipulate, transform, and visualize geospatial-temporal data
• Develop analytics and derivative data products to enable actionable insights
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Collaborate with users across IC and DoD to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
• Partner with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users
• Commit to full-time onsite work

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship with a current TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology fields
• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including design, development, and implementation
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages
• Experience with data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis of large datasets
• Proficiency in Linux-based environments
• Experience designing and supporting cloud-based architectures, including AWS and C2S environments
• Experience developing and maintaining applications in cloud computing environments
• Experience with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or similar technologies
• Ability to lead small engineering teams and work independently and collaboratively
• Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability, with the ability to leverage emerging technologies for mission challenges
• Familiarity with modern software development tools, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
