Software Engineer (Mid)

Mid-level Software Engineer position in Washington, DC onsite at Vantor Services Inc. to design, build, integrate, and sustain secure software and data-driven solutions for mission operations, requiring U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems that implement logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with hardware engineers and equipment designers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Assess user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensure software standards are met and maintained across projects.
• Leverage cloud platforms, system integration, and database management as part of project work.
• Stay strategic and current with industry trends, aligning engineering goals with business objectives.
• Certifications in project management and specific technologies are advantageous.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4 to 7 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, software design methodologies, and development tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Ability to design and implement complex software components with minimal supervision.
• Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph.

Pay Transparency

The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $188,000.00 annually.
