Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering principles to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports focused on the application of C5I systems aboard USCG ships.
• Assess how new or modified electronics influence overall system performance and reliability.
• Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Requests for Waiver (RFW), and Engineering Changes (EC's).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in System Architecture, Electronics, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or a closely related technical or marine discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Six or more years of recent, relevant experience developing and integrating systems that involve electromagnetic energy transmissions for sensor processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information processing, navigation, and defense applications.
• Familiarity with USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
• Proficiency with common productivity software and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams and to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
