Job Description
Responsibilities
- Design and develop lithium-ion battery modules and packs, including enclosures, interconnects, busbars, and mounting systems
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies
- Generate 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on cell selection, BMS integration, and wiring architecture
- Perform thermal and structural design considerations
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation
- Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, and NFPA standards
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are met
- Manage engineering changes and product lifecycle documentation
- Participate in supplier selection and evaluation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering
- 3–8+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling is a must
- Experience designing lithium-ion battery packs
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with electrical integration and BMS systems
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards

Work Environment & Requirements
- Frequent travel to customer sites (regional or national)
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Work in industrial, data center, or outdoor environments as needed
- May require occasional after-hours or on-call support
