Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
V2X is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the NSI program, supporting a multi-discipline Agile and DevSecOps Development team based in Indianapolis, IN. This onsite role emphasizes software development, integration, testing, and documentation for NSI products using modern development practices.
Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will be accountable for delivering software capabilities across the development lifecycle, including integration and verification activities conducted in a state-of-the-art lab in Indianapolis. Work will be performed in an Agile environment with cross-functional collaboration across a DevSecOps-focused team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test, and document software for NSI products.
- Perform integration and testing activities in the Indianapolis laboratory environment.
- Collaborate in an Agile environment and work cross-functionally with teammates.
- Build software by tailoring reusable components and integrating software modules on virtual machines and target hardware.
- Contribute to maturing and improving processes and products over time.
- Follow coding standards and best practices, including required configuration management for all code.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in Software Development.
- Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Java, Python.
- Familiarity with Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
- Knowledge of Linux operating system concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps Software Development process environments.
- Strong communication and teaming skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support customer meetings, demonstrations, and integration/installation/interop testing events.
- Ability to reside in the Indianapolis area to support lab testing and other team events.
- Familiarity with Networks including TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with Virtual Machine environments and containers.
- Familiarity with one or more Agile techniques such as LeSS, Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, and eXtreme Programming.
- Knowledge of Secure Coding techniques.
- Familiarity with Automated Testing and an Automated Test Framework.

Security Clearance & Other Requirements
- Must be able to access systems with information restricted to U.S. citizens due to federal contract requirements.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM degree program, or equivalent work experience.
