Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer role is responsible for leading the architecture and delivery of software solutions with high business impact. This position manages end-to-end technical design and implementation for systems that must be scalable, secure, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and implements software architecture and engineering approaches for complex initiatives within the job area, contributing to technical plans and progress toward operational targets.
• Adopts and refines software engineering standards, practices, and governance mechanisms to improve quality, reliability, and delivery across multiple teams.
• Partners with senior engineers, product stakeholders, and architecture teams to define technology approaches, providing deep technical input and proposing solution patterns for local roadmaps and priorities.
• Leads end-to-end technical design and implementation for scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions, creating reusable patterns and examples for other engineers.
• Independently troubleshoots complex technical issues, developing innovative improvements in architecture, performance, reliability, and scalability that support business objectives.
• Provides ongoing technical guidance, coaching, and training, including delegating and reviewing work from lower-level technical professionals and raising the technical bar through design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and techniques by building prototypes and solution concepts that contribute measurable input to new features, products, or capabilities.
• Contributes to long-term technical goals and plans using reasoned recommendations, design proposals, and implementation experience.
• Leads large or complex initiatives, coordinating and delegating technical work that may extend beyond the immediate team to ensure cohesive, high-quality outcomes with limited supervision.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
• Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and security practices.
