Senior Software Engineer

Join an agile C++ engineering team supporting national security mission work across Next Generation Ground Systems, Ground Element Modernization (GEM), and SW deliveries to CONUS and OCONUS operational sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as a C++ software developer in a fast-paced agile environment using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) VMs, servers, and workstations
• Design, implement, and unit test new software capabilities aligned to Mathematical Algorithm Requirements (MARs)
• Support Discrepancy Report (DR) workflows by identifying issues, troubleshooting, and delivering or turning over software fixes
• Collaborate with SW IPT subject matter experts (SMEs) and senior staff engineers across multiple software subsystems

Requirements

• Active SCI security clearance
• Ability to obtain SCI clearance
• U.S. citizen requirement
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills with proficiency in C++
• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems
• Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making
• DevSecOps Test Automation experience
• Programming and scripting experience with: C, C++, Java, Python, Perl
• Strong math and algorithm background
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface across employee levels, management, and stakeholders
• Prior participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with Agile processes
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite: Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo
• Experience developing in Linux using git
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
