Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and optimize production software that supports internal financial modeling tools. This hybrid role is based out of the Boston office and focuses on delivering measurable improvements across Nexamp and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver value: Internalize team objectives and drive measurable change for Nexamp and customers.
• Write code: Design, implement, and deploy reliable and efficient production software using a React/Django/Azure stack.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of full stack software development experience at companies with 10 or more developers.
• Frontend: Experience building and optimizing consumer-facing applications in React and TypeScript.
• Backend: Experience developing and optimizing web-based solutions in modern Python, ideally with Django, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Financial tools: Experience building financial forecasting software is a plus.
• Technical fundamentals: Robust understanding of web standards and infrastructure concepts including databases, storage, caching, content delivery, and cloud platform offerings.
• Data: Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate effectively with users and business stakeholders to facilitate software and process requirements.
• Problem solving: Leverage debugging expertise and demonstrate a track record of independently resolving problems.
• Tooling: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment, and infrastructure tools such as Terraform.
• AI: Understanding of cutting edge AI tools and a commitment to using them to rapidly deliver high quality software.
• Ownership: Ownership mentality and initiative to improve code, processes, and user experiences across the organization.

Compensation

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $170,000 - $190,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based on skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.

This position is hybrid based out of Boston, MA.
