Senior Software Engineer

This Senior Software Engineer role at SRI Resources supports a high-availability payments-as-a-service platform, including client integrations with core services. The position is based in Columbus, OH or Portland, OR with a hybrid schedule of four days on-site and Fridays remote.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a skilled engineering team to deliver solutions for internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with peer developers, QA testers, and business partners to produce high-quality results within established timelines.
• Build and support a high-availability, multi-tier platform across the full software development life cycle, designed for global access.
• Provide production platform support as needed.
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain engineering quality.
• Identify and remediate issues that improve scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and fraud monitoring.
• Address urgent production bugs promptly in coordination with other engineers.
• Contribute to strong software engineering practices across the team.

• Help expand the engineering team to meet client and business demands for a Payments-as-a-service platform.
• Support client integration with core services.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of strong Object-Oriented Development experience.
• 3+ years of strong MySQL experience, including designing and administering.
• 4+ years of NodeJS experience.
• 4+ years of Strong ReactJS experience.
• 4+ years of TypeScript experience.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience.
• Strong understanding of Amazon API-Gateway & Lambda.
• Solid experience building API frameworks, including RESTful or GraphQL.
• Ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic programming team.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
• May require up to 25% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation System (Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Amazon QuickSight.
• Experience working with NoSQL DynamoDB.
