Software Engineer

Software Engineer roles at PURVIS focus on delivering dependable software solutions for government clients. In this onsite position in Newport, RI, you will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications while supporting installation and certification activities. Responsibilities

• Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.
• Support and/or install software applications and operating systems.
• Participate in testing through test review and analysis, including test witnessing and software certification.
• Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures of software engineering.
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment when performing assignments.
• Follow applicable quality and security procedures while performing job duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
