Software Engineer - Chip Validation

QFocus Technologies is expanding its AI Infrastructure Silicon Validation team in Sunnyvale, where engineers craft validation software to test and stress AI compute platforms. This onsite role centers on building robust C++ tooling, integrating CUDA SDKs, and delivering reliable testing solutions to support advanced AI hardware architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++ based validation tools to assess the performance and correctness of AI infrastructure.
• Integrate third-party SDKs and low-level APIs, including CUDA, to interact with compute hardware.
• Apply clean object-oriented design to create modular, reusable validation frameworks.
• Own assigned validation features from requirements through delivery, debugging, and documentation with minimal supervision.
• Identify software defects, memory issues, and edge cases within a Linux environment.

Requirements

• Strong C++ and object-oriented programming skills, with experience in modern standards (C++14/17) and solid memory management.
• Ability to read documentation, learn new SDKs quickly, and implement them, specifically CUDA APIs.
• Proficiency with POSIX multi-threading.
• Linux development experience, including building and running applications with CMake and Make.
• Independent problem solver with a track record of autonomously completing coding tasks, writing clean test code, and debugging issues.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 125,794 - 200,000 per year.
