Software Engineer, CX

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions across diverse cloud-native and on-premises environments.
• Own the technical lifecycle of complex projects, prioritizing secure coding practices, user privacy, and exceptional UX for high-quality outcomes.
• Integrate AI-enabled frameworks and development tools to accelerate product capabilities and streamline daily workflow.
• Manage end-to-end implementation while staying at the forefront of AI-driven engineering innovation.
• Bridge the gap between technical strategy and hands-on, high-impact product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s + 5 years of related experience, or Master’s + 3 years, or PhD + 0 years.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and on-premises environments.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable solutions using Python.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks, generative AI, and large language models.
• Ability to lead end-to-end delivery using experience across the SDLC, Agile methodologies, and secure coding practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming in Node.js
• Experience in AI governance and artificial intelligence compliance, plus hands-on experience in prompt engineering and generative AI proficiency to meet business objectives
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform), and network automation
• Clear communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams

U.S. and/or Canada applicants message: Starting salary range posted for this position is $128,600.00 to $184,900.00 for U.S. and/or Canada locations and reflects projected salary for new hires, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by hiring location, market conditions, and job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco’s plan eligibility rules.

Applicable full salary ranges by state:

• New York City Metro Area: $155,000.00 - $256,000.00
• Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $138,100.00 - $227,900.00
• Employees in Illinois will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
