Software Engineers (Level 2 or 3)

A U.S. citizenship requirement and an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Full stack development across operating system, platform, and mission specific software layers
- Develop client and server applications and services using service or object oriented architectures and message bus based data exchange, including first of a kind capabilities
- Work across languages and toolsets such as Python, C++, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis for remediation
- Operate as a self starter with awareness of overall project budget and schedule implications
- Support Operations ground software and related configurations, troubleshooting both software and hardware affecting ground software operation
- Contribute to Acceptance Test events, including executing tests
- Engage in test automation efforts
- Configure ground segment software across environments
- Identify, remediate, and resolve software defects
- Implement software enhancements driven by customer change requests or mission needs
- Provide ground software support during launch and launch rehearsal events
- Assist with the installation of new ground segment software in operational, development, and test environments
Requirements
Software Development Engineer Level 2
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) with 2 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 0 years; experience may substitute for degree (additional 4 years)
- Demonstrated software development experience
- Python application development, C++, Bash scripting
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Top-Secret clearance at the time of application with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
Software Development Engineer Level 3
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) with 5 years of experience; or Master’s with 3 years; or PhD with 1 year; experience may substitute for degree (additional 4 years)
- Demonstrated software development experience
- Python application development, C++, Bash scripting
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Top-Secret clearance at the time of application with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
