Software Engineer

Join Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector as part of the Ground Software Engineering team in Morrisville, NC (onsite). This opening supports hiring at either Software Engineer level 1 or level 2, based on education and qualifications. Salary range: USD 70,200 - 105,400 per year.

Responsibilities

• Work as an Associate Software Engineer or Software Engineer within the Ground Software Engineering group.
• Apply programming and systems experience using Python and/or C/C++.
• Use Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Object-oriented Programming (OOP) practices in software development.
• Develop and support software in environments that include Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.

Requirements

• Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Have majored in or be majoring in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).
• Have some experience with at least one programming language: Python or C/C++.
• Have some experience with OOAD and OOP.
• Have experience with Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Maintain an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Education and level

• Software Engineer level 1: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Software Engineer level 2: Master’s Degree.
