Job Description

The Sr. Controls Engineer role supports Actus Nutrition facilities in Norfolk, NE and provides engineering guidance across the selection and design of plant digital and analog control equipment and systems. The position involves coordination with external control vendors and hands-on expertise with Rockwell automation and Allen Bradley PLCs, including HMI development.

Role Overview

Based out of Actus Nutrition facilities in Norfolk, NE, this position advises on and oversees the selection and design of plant control equipment and systems. The role includes engagement with external control vendors and experience with Rockwell automation technologies, including Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI development.

Location

Eden Prairie, MN (onsite). Work supports facilities in Norfolk, NE.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on, recommend, and engage in the selection of plant equipment and related control needs for digital and analog I/O, including cabinet and system design requirements.
  • Oversee external control vendors.

Requirements

  • Education: BS in Electrical Eng. or Electronics Eng. (or foreign equivalent / related specialty technical field).
  • Experience: 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in controls engineering in a processing plant.
  • Experience must include work with Allen Bradley PLCs, related components, and Logix programming.
  • Experience must include work with HMI development using Factory Talk ME, Factory Talk View and/or Aveva InTouch, including all related systems such as tag/data servers and historians.
  • Experience must include work with Rockwell and related US automation technologies.
  • Experience must include work with control system design and troubleshooting methodologies.

Travel Requirements
