Sr Lead Security Engineer

This role emphasizes leading security driven software development and applying AI-assisted security practices across the software development lifecycle to speed risk analysis and strengthen controls. The position offers a competitive compensation range of USD 171,000 to 260,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and direction to the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors on security matters
• Develop secure, high‑quality production code and review or debug code produced by others
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes through informed decisions
• Act as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas
• Engage with the engineering community as an advocate for firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
• Encourage peers and project stakeholders to consider and adopt leading‑edge technologies
• Foster a team culture that values diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation, ensuring sensitive data handling and output validation
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain workflows to strengthen security testing, control validation, and traceability

Requirements

• Formal training and certification with at least five years of experience building high-performance API-first services and integrating tooling
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; proficient in two or more languages such as C#, C++, Go, Python, or Java
• Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with expertise in cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile, or related areas
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS inspection, traffic interception, and API gateway patterns
• Proven ability to build scalable distributed systems handling high throughput in a cloud-native environment
• Educational background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI tools within security engineering workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, ensuring alignment with security, resiliency, and auditability expectations
