Job Description
U.S. Bank National Association is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to own the design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of software products within an agile DevOps environment. The role emphasizes Java and Spring Boot technologies and requires full-stack ownership, delivering reliable, scalable systems from a Hopkins, Minnesota onsite location.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 119,765 - 140,900 per year.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software products with full-stack ownership
- Produce production-ready, testable code and own end-to-end delivery
- Create designs that follow architectural best practices, considering scalability, reliability, and performance across relevant systems
- Analyze failures, propose design changes, and promote operational improvements
- Make design and coding decisions with a focus on the customer experience
- Incorporate code-review feedback to meet established standards
- Conduct code reviews to guide engineering best practices and adherence to procedures
- Ensure all aspects of product development align with security and compliance requirements
- Maintain a strong emphasis on software reliability engineering within development standards
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to best practices supporting the bank’s technology transformation
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Critically review tasks, ensure appropriate sizing for incremental delivery, and flag blockers early

Location Expectations
