Staff - Signal Integrity Engineer
Job Description
Join Celestica in Richardson, TX, onsite, as a Staff Signal Integrity Engineer and influence the performance and reliability of high speed digital designs. This role emphasizes leadership in complex system development, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on verification through labs and design reviews. You will guide technical decisions, mentor peers, and help drive initiatives that improve manufacturability and overall system quality.
Responsibilities
- Drive the creation of advanced technical solutions, shaping system architecture, drafting schematics, managing BOMs, and laying out concrete implementation plans.
- Act as the technical lead for engineering teams, steering design choices and serving as the primary expert in high-speed systems and signal integrity.
- Own project delivery by shaping planning, scheduling, and coordinating both technical and non-technical elements, including resources and budget.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and serve as the main technical interface to ensure alignment and on-time delivery.
- Assess design trade-offs and propose solutions that balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Lead system validation and characterization, including lab tests of high-speed digital interfaces and correlating simulations with measured results.
- Perform and supervise physical layer compliance testing to ensure designs meet industry standards.
- Lead strategic programs and coordinate cross-functional deployments across teams and sites.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and timely issue resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as reports, analysis summaries, and project updates to support decision-making.
- Identify and address complex technical challenges, proposing improvements to boost system performance and reliability.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance engineering capabilities.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with at least 6 years of technical engineering experience, or
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with at least 8 years of technical engineering experience, or
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with at least 12 years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- A bachelor degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
Physical Demands
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
- May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data.
- Frequent repetitive manual movements, such as data entry and mouse use, are common.
- Occasional travel may be required.

- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
