Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking a remote, contract Staff Software Engineer focused on AI trainer responsibilities. Based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, you will design and solve programming challenges used to train AI models, deliver clear code examples with explanations, and assess AI-generated code to improve model performance. The role embraces project-based scheduling and offers the flexibility of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and solve a variety of programming problems that feed into AI model training.
• Produce clean, high-quality code samples accompanied by thorough explanations.
• Assess AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Offer actionable feedback that informs the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

• Fluent English with native or equivalent bilingual proficiency.
• Strong experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Bachelor's degree, either completed or currently in progress.
