Structural Engineer

Larsen Structural Design is seeking a Structural Engineer to support structural engineering projects from early concept through construction in a collaborative small-firm setting. This Fort Collins, Colorado, onsite role combines technical design work with construction coordination, site visits, and internal quality control, with a pathway toward future ownership potential for the right fit.

Role Overview

• Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction
• Create structural designs, calculations, and detailed construction documents
• Manage design schedules and work toward project deadlines
• Support construction by providing prompt responses and effective solutions during the build phase
• Maintain strong relationships through responsive communication with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants
• Conduct site visits, evaluations, and structural assessments
• Complete internal quality control reviews for company projects
• Deliver high-quality work while balancing multiple projects and timelines

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a structural engineering environment (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering (or structural emphasis)
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software including RISA and ENERCALC
• Revit proficiency (required)
• Expert knowledge of applicable building codes and standards
• Strong technical skills, communication abilities, and relationship building skills
• Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate effectively with clients and project teams
• PE License required, or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within a reasonable timeframe

Compensation and Location

• Location: Fort Collins, CO (in person)
• Commute: Fort Collins, CO 80521 (required)
• Relocation: Fort Collins, CO 80521 (preferred, relocate before starting work)
• Salary: USD 75,000 - 150,000 per year
