TAGM Data Engineer

At KBR, this hybrid Data Engineer and Analytics Steward role at Redstone Arsenal, AL blends hands-on data engineering with governance and analytics responsibilities. You will build and operate end-to-end data pipelines, establish data quality and governance practices, and deliver actionable insights through Power BI. You’ll also oversee the database infrastructure that underpins reporting and analytics across the organization, enabling data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Extract, Transform, and Load data from diverse sources into centralized data warehouses or data lakes.
• Automate manual data processes and optimize data delivery infrastructure.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and compliance protocols.
• Serve as the main point of contact for data inquiries, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization.
• Maintain data catalogs and metadata repositories.
• Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive data visualizations, leveraging advanced DAX and Power Query to model data for end users.
• Architect, query, and manage relational and non-relational databases; monitor performance, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues.
• Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries to support both engineering pipelines and reporting tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, database administration, business intelligence, or data governance
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
