Job Description
In Springfield, Virginia, Amentum is seeking a TS Cleared Software Engineer to design, develop, and sustain the GEODS Catalog enterprise data services for a federal program. The role emphasizes integrating AI and ML capabilities into the catalog ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering reliable software releases from a hybrid work environment. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly and a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience to contribute across the GEODS Catalog ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full software release lifecycle, from preparation and build through deployment and post-release monitoring.
- Participate in code reviews and sprint planning sessions.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and roadblocks.
- Write clean, well-documented code and contribute to technical documentation.
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Implement new features based on specifications and analyze existing processes to identify efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and operations teams to prepare timely and reliable software releases.
- Develop and execute test plans, support formal testing, and resolve defects.
- Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions and defects.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Poly.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience; years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- 2 years of experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform and technologies, including SDKs and CDK, or similar cloud experience.
- Familiarity with GitLab.
- Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services.

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday with core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Pay
USD 80,000.00 - 150,000.00 per year.
