Water Resources Engineer (5-10 Years Experience)
Job Description
Water Resources Engineer role focused on planning and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure across Indiana, with hands-on technical work and CAD design.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support planning, design, and construction‑phase services for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Prepare engineering studies such as preliminary reports, master plans, and alternatives analyses.
- Design sanitary sewer networks (gravity and pressure sewers, pump stations, relocations) and water distribution systems (booster stations, layouts, system improvements), plus water treatment and recovery facilities.
- Develop technical specifications, design calculations, and comprehensive plan sets.
- Create and review AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings.
- Prepare and critique technical reports, memoranda, and client presentations.
- Perform site visits, field investigations, and construction inspections to verify design intent and quality control.
- Assist with project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal quality assurance processes.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Five to ten years of progressive water resources design experience.
- Indiana Professional Engineer license or eligibility to obtain within six months.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, including Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain schedules, and deliver high‑quality work.
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely navigate project sites.

$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
