Job Description

Enbridge is seeking an Early Career Integrity Engineer to help protect gas assets across its operations in Gastonia, North Carolina, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role centers on identifying, evaluating, and communicating risks to asset integrity, operational reliability, and health, safety, and environment, supporting risk-informed decisions through fit-for-purpose assessments and translating technical insights into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Perform risk assessments that inform risk-based decision making.
Apply fit-for-purpose methods to identify and evaluate operational risks.
Identify and assess risks spanning health and safety, operations, environment, reputation, and financial impact.
Support collaborators with problem definition, data collection, application of assessment techniques, and clear communication of results.
Collaborate with senior team members to continuously improve assessment tools.
Develop new techniques through literature research, feasibility studies, and building business cases for improvement ideas.
Present technical results to department leadership and teams through presentations and written reports.
Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Contribute to value assessments for major investments via risk and benefit analyses.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; preference for mechanical, civil, chemical, materials, petroleum, or related fields.
2–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
Highly numerate, logical, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize competing demands and compile technical reports.

Physical Requirements

Grasping, kneeling, and light to moderate lifting up to 20 pounds.

Mental Requirements

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions.

Working Conditions

Office environment with limited travel, approximately 90% in-office and 10% travel.
A valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the state are required and will be verified prior to hire.
