Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer at The Brewer-Garrett Company leads electrical design and engineering for complex commercial and institutional projects, delivering energy-efficient, high-quality electrical systems. This hybrid role based in Middleburg Heights, Ohio involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support long-term building performance. Compensation for this position is USD 100,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Oversee the complete electrical design process for designated projects from concept through closeout, including engineering and specifications.
Develop precise schematic designs for complex prospective projects within tight timelines.
Organize and lead the engineering effort across all phases of design and construction to keep projects on track.
Guide and supervise designers and engineers assigned to project teams.
Review and revise calculations, drawings, and specifications as needed to ensure project success.
Coordinate with project teams to meet schedule milestones and manage budgets.
Conduct site surveys, field investigations, and equipment assessments.
Provide engineering support during construction and assist with project execution as required.
Monitor project scope, engineering budgets, and construction budgets to maintain alignment.
Communicate scope, budget, or schedule changes to leadership in a timely manner.
Contribute to developing and maintaining drafting, design, and engineering standards.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Location

Middleburg Heights, OH. This role is open to candidates within a 2-3 hour radius of Cleveland, OH, including Toledo, Dayton, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and surrounding areas.

Travel

Up to 25% travel for worksite visits. Remote candidates must work on-site at BG Headquarters in Middleburg Heights, OH, at least once per week.
