Responsibilities
- Write SBIR proposals (Small Business Innovative Research), and support writing and costing for non-SBIR proposals led by the Intellisense business development department.
- Guide testing efforts across multiple programs, including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, DO-178, and more, so testing prioritizes the right aspects of each system to support robust and reliable products.
- Support creation and presentation of customer deliverables, including documents and artifacts required for SFR, SRR, PDR, CDR, and related certification documentation.
- Contribute through hands-on design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving within areas of technical expertise.
- Apply lessons learned and proven design elements to new designs and products.
- Work comfortably across environments, including a lab bench, design reviews, and discussions with a Contracting Officerβs Representative (COR) or Program Manager regarding schedule and cost.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Mentorship and project support
- Mentor the engineering team by assessing the quality and simplicity of engineering work and providing guidance to improve designs.
- Set expectations and share exemplary work product examples to help the team deliver strong results.
Requirements
- BS from an accredited institution in an engineering discipline and 20+ years of working experience in that discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense electronics, mission systems, or related high-reliability domains.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting electronic, electromechanical, and/or software systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems engineering skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable approach to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to customers, program managers, and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: USD 200,000 - 300,000 per year.
