AI Engineer - GenAI / Agentic Systems - Financial Services

Infosys is seeking an AI Engineer specializing in GenAI and agentic systems within the financial services sector. This hands-on role focuses on designing, building, and scaling GenAI-powered solutions for banking, with experience in LLM application development, agent orchestration, and data-driven AI pipelines. The position is based onsite in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with banking and financial services stakeholders to define problem statements and lead or contribute to solution design, mapping daily advisor activities and critical manual flows to AI-enabled options.
• Serve as Product Manager or Product Owner, working with architects and business SMEs to translate requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
• Design and implement GenAI solutions using large language models (Claude, OpenAI, and others) to enhance advisor productivity and improve operational efficiency in areas such as corporate actions, portfolio management, and AML/KYC processes.
• Develop agent-based workflows with frameworks like LangChain, Google ADK, or comparable tools.
• Build retrieval augmented generation pipelines, semantic search capabilities, and knowledge-driven applications.
• Apply prompt engineering, establish evaluation frameworks, and implement guardrails for AI systems.
• Test and validate final solutions to ensure alignment with business problems and optimize AI models and data pipelines.
• Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure timely program delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in the financial services industry, including familiarity with front, middle, and back office operations, and an understanding of the end-to-end value chain across wealth management, asset management, and investment banking.
• Ability to define AI-related KPIs and build a business case for AI adoption.
• Proficiency in Python-based AI and ML development.
• Knowledge of LLMs and GenAI architectures, with experience in prompt engineering and chaining techniques.
• Experience with data processing and building data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Graph Retrieval Augmented Generation (Graph RAG) and LangChain or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Claude, OpenAI, or other LLM APIs in a Graph RAG context.
• Working knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Experience with API integrations and microservices architectures.
