Analytics Engineer

Ontic Technologies is seeking a hands-on R&D Analytics Engineer to design and scale the data and AI foundation behind its enterprise SaaS platform. This role focuses on building trusted analytics systems, powering SaaS metrics, and enabling internal AI-enabled workflows across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable dbt data models in Snowflake that act as trusted sources of truth
• Architect data pipelines and transformation workflows using Fivetran and modern ELT practices
• Develop durable, extensible data assets that can evolve as the company scales
• Define modeling standards, documentation practices, and governance frameworks
• Collaborate with RevOps and Finance to define and operationalize core SaaS metrics such as ARR, retention, expansion, and pipeline
• Build data foundations that support internal AI applications and LLM-enabled workflows
• Prototype and productionize AI-driven operational use cases
• Integrate analytics and AI into everyday workflows using tools such as Notion, Cursor, Glean, and other emerging platforms
• Design systems that embed data into operational processes, not only dashboards
• Partner with leaders across Sales, CS, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Engineering to translate business needs into scalable technical systems
• Create reusable data assets that support activation via Hightouch and analysis via Omni
• Ensure the overall architecture remains scalable, secure, and adaptable to changing enterprise requirements

Requirements

• Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related hands-on role
• Strong SQL skills and deep understanding of modern data modeling, including dimensional modeling, transformations, and data contracts
• Experience building in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving AI tooling
• Systems-level thinking with an emphasis on scalability, extensibility, and flexibility
• Natural curiosity and energy for resolving ambiguous problems
• Commitment to clean, durable architecture rather than short-term fixes
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business and technical teams

Compensation

$95,000 - $105,000 per year • Offers Bonus
