Application Security Engineer - AI Trainer

Work fully remotely with a flexible schedule and take on contract projects that match your availability. You will be paid hourly at $50 to $100 USD per hour, with the potential for higher bonus rates on certain work, while helping train AI systems for real-world cybersecurity use cases.

In this role, you’ll evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, validate whether it aligns with actual threats and defenses, and contribute technical problem-solving that helps improve how AI models reason about security.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, to confirm real-world accuracy and validity.
• Develop and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code that supports training outputs.
• Provide feedback intended to directly influence the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields, including government or military cyber operations.
• Some coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• English fluency (native or bilingual) and strong writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.
