In the Assessments and Exercises - Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer role, you will investigate security issues surfaced by Red Team and other assessments, perform root cause analysis, partner with stakeholders across the firm, and design and implement mitigations. You will also leverage enterprise AI-enabled workflows to accelerate evidence synthesis and draft executive-ready assessments while maintaining rigorous data handling. This onsite role in Jersey City, NJ combines a competitive salary with meaningful opportunities to strengthen the firm’s security posture.
Salary: USD 152,000 - 260,000 per year. Location: Jersey City, NJ (onsite).

Responsibilities
- Assess the business and technology impact of vulnerabilities using data-driven risk prioritization to guide remediation decisions.
- Perform root cause analysis of security issues found during assessments across multiple technologies and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to understand findings, define remediation approaches, and strengthen the security posture.
- Identify and implement technical, procedural, or educational solutions to mitigate security issues.
- Present analyses and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders, with clear communication.
- Prioritize remediation efforts using multiple criteria to ensure high-value issues are addressed first.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate synthesis of test evidence and draft executive-ready assessment reports, validating outputs and handling data per security requirements.
- Drive reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted workflows for control evaluation and reporting automation, ensuring results are validated and aligned with security, resiliency, and compliance expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification with 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- Experience developing tactical, operational, and strategic tools and capabilities, with strong curiosity about cybersecurity and a drive to expand skills.
- Proven ability to be proactive and resourceful, identifying and using appropriate data sources for investigations.
- Knowledge of or experience in offensive or defensive cybersecurity roles and processes such as incident response, threat intelligence, penetration testing, red teaming, risk management, cyber engineering, cyber architecture, and data privacy. Familiarity with network concepts, including cloud architectures and deploying large-scale enterprise applications.
- Experience building analytical processes, templates, and documentation; strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex problems into clear findings.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical staff to articulate risk and drive change; committed to ethical practices.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support assessment workflows with strong validation and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted findings and remediation recommendations before use; escalate when uncertain and adhere to security and data handling requirements.
