Associate Data Engineer

Capgemini is hiring an Associate Data Engineer to help build and support secure, scalable data integration solutions on an onsite basis in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT jobs, workflows, and data pipelines
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems
• Create and execute unit tests, integration tests, and data validation scripts
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist with issue resolution
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data processing problems
• Support data cleansing, profiling, and validation activities
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting and analytics support
• Assist in implementing data quality controls and governance standards
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
• Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and senior data engineers in Agile delivery teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration
• SQL development, query optimization, and stored procedure development
• Ability to design, develop, and monitor data pipelines
• Hands-on with data validation, data profiling, and data cleansing
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues
• Knowledge of data quality management and governance practices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Familiarity with data warehousing and modern data architectures
• Understanding of analytics and reporting environments
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies

Compensation

• $81,000 - $85,000 per year (base compensation range for the posted location)
• Actual compensation may vary based on legally permitted factors in the applicable jurisdiction
• May be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions (depending on position and applicable laws)
