Job Description
Northrop Grumman is offering an on-site role in Melbourne, Florida for an Associate Software Engineer or Software Engineer. ThisOpportunity provides a competitive salary range of $65,800 to $118,900 per year, potential relocation assistance, and up to 10 percent travel. A Master’s degree is required, along with a minimum of two years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that implement logical and mathematical solutions
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
- Determine computer user needs
- Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
- Prepare operating instructions
- Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
- Ensure software standards are met
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution expected to be completed by August 2026 or already completed
- Major in a STEM field or have majored in a STEM field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite, and final clearance may be required to start
- Master’s degree completion by August 2026, or Bachelor’s degree completed and at least 2 years of software engineering experience by August 2026
