Audio Visual Design Engineer

MediaVine Productions is hiring an Audio Visual Design Engineer to support client-focused AV projects in Denver, CO (onsite). This role blends technical design work with collaboration across sales and installation teams, ensuring systems are engineered, documented, and executed to industry standards. You’ll also benefit from a steady Monday to Friday schedule and a compensation package of $65,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing

Design and document complete audio visual systems for client needs, including audio, video, lighting, and control. You’ll translate requirements into clear engineering materials that support both pricing and installation execution.

• Design AV systems (audio, video, lighting, and control) using MediaVine Pro Audio Video standards and applicable industry standards.
• Create detailed design documentation, including line drawings, rack layouts, and narrative descriptions to support system pricing and labor estimates.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and preliminary labor and travel cost estimates.
• Partner with the sales team to clarify client requirements and refine design proposals.
• Coordinate with installation teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and align with project specifications and building code requirements.
• Provide technical guidance during installation, including troubleshooting when issues arise.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and meet technical needs, delivering high-level customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support systems during installation and testing with continued troubleshooting and follow-up.
• Read and review AV construction drawings, redline/comment as necessary to help validate that drawings are correct before implementation.

What you bring

• Experience in AV systems design and integration across audio, video, lighting, and control.
• Proficiency with D-Tools, Visio, and AutoCAD. Vectorworks is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Google Suite preferred or Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, architectural plans, and system requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability to prepare BOMs and labor/travel cost estimates.
• Strong time management and self-management skills.
• AV installation experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in construction management or similar AV system integration roles.
