Backend Software Engineer - Infrastructure, Foundations

Simple Software, Inc. is hiring a Backend Software Engineer - Infrastructure, Foundations to strengthen core infrastructure and backend foundations in a hands-on, onsite role in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and infrastructure components
• Design and build reliable APIs and scalable system integrations
• Improve application performance, stability, and security
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and resolve system bottlenecks
• Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture and design
• Write automated tests and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with backend development and server-side programming
• Knowledge of databases, APIs, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment tools
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
