Job Description

APPLY is seeking a BI Engineer / Data Analyst to support the Kraft Heinz DXP Platform team by owning reporting outcomes from raw platform data through actionable insights during a GCP to Azure and Snowflake migration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and reports (Looker Studio & Power BI) that translate raw platform data into clear, actionable insights for business and marketing stakeholders.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to migrate and validate dashboard data models through the GCP to Azure/Snowflake transition, ensuring metric parity and no regression in reporting accuracy.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis across BigQuery/Snowflake datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities not yet visible to the business.
  • Write and optimize SQL across BigQuery and Snowflake; build and maintain dbt models to support scalable, governed data marts.
  • Collaborate on Dagster-orchestrated data pipelines by understanding lineage and dependencies well enough to troubleshoot and contribute to data model design.
  • Explore and prototype agentic AI and data science solutions (example focus areas: LLM-powered analysis, automated insight generation, predictive/propensity modeling) to accelerate how insights are surfaced and acted on.
  • Apply data governance in day-to-day work, including privacy and retention deletion workflows using OneTrust, and correct handling of PII across CRM/MarTech integrations (Customer.io, Twilio Segment).
  • Own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle: requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard build, validation, and stakeholder walkthroughs.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with Data Engineering to address root causes rather than applying downstream patches.
  • Stay current on BI and analytics tooling and proactively recommend improvements to the reporting stack.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a hybrid analytics engineering role.
  • Strong SQL skills across BigQuery and/or Snowflake, including comfort with complex queries, CTEs, and window functions.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Looker Studio and/or Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of dbt for data modeling and transformation.
  • Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools, with Dagster preferred (Airflow or similar acceptable).
  • Understanding of data governance and privacy compliance concepts, ideally with exposure to OneTrust or a similar consent/privacy management platform.
  • Experience working with CRM/MarTech data sources such as Customer.io, Twilio Segment, or comparable CDP/ESP platforms.
  • Some hands-on data engineering skills (Python, pipeline debugging, schema design) are a plus; comfort partnering closely with Data Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, including translating findings into insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cloud data migration experience (GCP, Azure, or AWS) is a plus.
  • Curious, insight-first mindset, including the ability to go beyond dashboard requests to surface what the data indicates.
