Civil Engineer (5+ years)
Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join the onsite Anchorage, AK office of Coffman Engineers, Inc. The role spans from feasibility and master planning through design, permitting and construction support within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with clients and teaming partners by delivering comprehensive civil engineering services from initial feasibility and master planning through design, permitting and construction support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- 5 or more years of experience in design development, permitting and construction assistance across sectors including oil and gas, military, and public sector projects.
- Experience applying engineering practices within Alaska's arctic and sub-arctic climate.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline setting.
- Experience with both urban and rural infrastructure throughout Alaska is preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Interest and ability to mentor junior engineers or develop into a mentoring role.
