Civil Project Engineer-Water/Wastewater

CVL Consultants is seeking a Civil Project Engineer focused on water and wastewater to drive civil design, master planning, and project coordination for municipal and private clients in the Phoenix area. This onsite role blends hands on design work with cost estimation, construction observation, and close client liaison to deliver reliable water and wastewater infrastructure on schedule and within budget. The position in Phoenix, AZ carries a salary range of USD 90,000 to 115,000 per year and requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher with at least five years of progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with private or municipal clients as well as local, state, and federal agencies to advance projects.
• Prepare final reports and master plans for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Design and sketch project details; CADD experience is required.
• Develop project cost estimates.
• Draft project specifications.
• Maintain project records for client and company purposes.
• Ensure projects are submitted on time and within internal and external budgets.
• Manage a mix of municipal and private projects of varying size and complexity.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or higher from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience.
• Municipal experience in water and wastewater.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within six months for out-of-state candidates.
