Job Description

Controls Engineer II at E2i Inc. focuses on automation support, controls troubleshooting, and delivery of PLC/HMI/SCADA and electrical hardware solutions for formulation operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide automation support and troubleshooting for formulation areas
  • Support implementation of change controls for process improvements and bug fixes as needed
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, peers, and supervisors
  • Design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment
  • Design, implement, and support electrical hardware systems
  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes and process instrumentation
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems
  • Respond to on-call requests as needed
  • Operate as a self-starter in both independent work and team-based project environments
  • Maintain a minimum of 80% billable time while partnering with leadership and sales assistance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field
  • 3-5 years of experience in process controls engineering or automation engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience programming/developing/configuring PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software for control systems
  • Experience with Rockwell and FactoryTalk View SE/ME is required; experience with iFix, DeltaV, PlantPAx, PCS7, Siemens, or Wonderware is a plus
  • Ability to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Ability to read P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
  • Ability to address on-call requests as needed

  • Primary Location: At downtown Indianapolis, IN pharmaceutical client with the possibility to support clients at other locations

Salary: USD 85,000 - 120,000 per year
