Job Description

This Cyber Software Engineer role at Lockheed Martin Space focuses on vulnerability research, development and testing of exploits targeting embedded systems, in collaboration with government partners and external organizations. The position is based onsite in Herndon, Virginia and requires a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide development services and related tasks to properly design and deploy vulnerabilities and exploits.
  • Support Government staff in meetings with external partners, delivering an initial technical assessment of vulnerabilities and exploits.
  • Participate in joint development meetings and workshops with cooperating intelligence services and corporate entities.
  • Plan and execute reliability, security, and other testing and assessment activities for vulnerabilities and exploits against embedded targets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or related computer security fields.
  • Proven programming proficiency in security-focused areas.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded, mobile, and desktop operating systems.
  • Previous experience leading development teams in computer security environments (such as Google Android, Embedded Linux, and variant OS).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, Computer Forensics, Information Systems, or other closely related field.
  • Top Secret Clearance with a background investigation conducted within the last five years required to start.
