Job Description
Gromelski & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineering Professional to support the Rotary & Mission Systems Technical Operations organization. In this onsite role in Manassas, VA, you will help build new security architectures for a large and critical DoD system of systems, bringing cyber engineering expertise and leading documentation and review activities with a focused approach to STIGs.
You will partner with engineering teams to align cybersecurity solutions to architectural needs, while also developing and maintaining the system documentation required for authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring across both networked and standalone classified systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide cyber engineering expertise by understanding architectural needs and identifying cybersecurity solutions that fit the mission requirements.
- Lead documentation and review processes for new designs, applying a critical approach to design decisions with respect to STIGs.
- Research new cybersecurity capabilities and perform trade studies, then share findings with peers and leadership.
- Develop system documentation supporting information system authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring for both networked and standalone classified systems.
Requirements
- Experience in software system design and development.
- Experience with devSecOps solutions.
- Experience using the Agile Methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship.
- Proactive, self-starter work style with the ability to operate independently.
- Team-oriented approach that takes ownership and builds relationships to support team success.

Highly Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of MBSE based design.
- Cyber engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Linux systems and large system development.

- Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts with the ability to understand packet captures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
