Entry-level IT Support Engineer I onsite in Garner, NC, delivering technical support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software across multiple sites within a defined geographic area.
Responsibilities
- Provide network troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration across diverse software and hardware environments.
- Maintain high availability of network infrastructure and computing systems during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to deliver analytical and technical assistance aimed at improving IT solutions.
- Lead local technical projects and support on-site project activities.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours.
- Support customers across multiple buildings in the area as well as remote customers.
- Travel within local or regional areas to assist customers.
Requirements
- 1+ year experience with Windows Server technologies including AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- 2+ years troubleshooting in a multi-user high-availability environment.
- 2+ years PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset liquidation experience.
- 1+ year IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- 2+ years networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
- 2+ years corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating system support experience.
- 2+ years supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Foundational knowledge of networking, security, databases (relational or NoSQL), and operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows).
