Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our Oklahoma City team on site. The role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities in software and hardware, building automation for cybersecurity workflows, and guiding security architecture and verification efforts across defense-related programs. This position offers a competitive annual salary and requires an active security clearance, aligning with mission-critical projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Address intricate cybersecurity challenges and develop practical solutions across systems.
  • Evaluate results from software static code analysis.
  • Perform Cybersecurity Impact Appraisals and Evaluations for hardware and software initiatives.
  • Create and maintain artifacts essential for Air Force authorization decisions.
  • Experience conducting system vulnerability scans using ACAS and STIGs.
  • Conduct manual STIG and SRG verifications on diverse equipment, including collecting and evaluating findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant military or professional experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM field with some relevant military, professional, or academic experience.
  • Active US Government Secret clearance or higher, with a background investigation completed within the last six years or ongoing Continuous Evaluation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a timeframe aligned with business needs.
  • Experience in cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NSS/CSA PM 9-12, and JSIG.
