Job Description

Data Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton in Atlanta, GA is responsible for building and deploying data pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data for mission-driven projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy pipelines and data platforms that transform diverse data into actionable information.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-moving, agile environment.
  • Advance analytical exploration and data examination while supporting the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable client data platforms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse development
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing aggregated data from multiple sources in cloud-based environments
  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable data stores that support big data for business analysis
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
  • Experience designing scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics using cloud technologies
  • Ability to create scripts and programs that convert varied data types into usable formats and support scaling, monitoring, and operation of data platforms
  • Capability to perform backend SQL and NoSQL testing, including post-deployment validation
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination as required by the client
  • Bachelor's degree

Compensation

USD 77,500 - 176,000 per year
