Job Description
Role focusing on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data for mission-driven projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data engineering solutions on mission-driven initiatives.
- Design, deploy, and evolve pipelines and platforms that normalize and make disparate data meaningful.
- Collaborate with and guide a cross-functional team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile setting.
- Leverage analytical exploration to oversee the assessment, design, construction, and maintenance of scalable data platforms for clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale
- 3+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
- 3+ years of experience building scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
- Experience delivering solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team
- Experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Spark, notebooks, and workflows or jobs
- Experience with GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code review workflows
- Ability to develop scripts and programs to convert various data types into usable formats and help the project team scale, monitor, and operate data platforms

Compensation
Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by location, the candidate’s education, knowledge, skills, and experience, and contract-specific considerations. The projected salary range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 per year (USD). This estimate reflects the typical range for the role and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.

Work model
- Onsite: Work will primarily occur at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with in-person collaboration as required by the role.

- Remote: Occasional in-person work may be required at Booz Allen or customer facilities.
