Job Description

Texas Instruments seeks a Data Engineer in Dallas to support data analytics, ETL pipelines, and software development for advanced manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex operational challenges across multiple stakeholders to drive optimal solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provision data that informs decision making and analytics.
  • Create data visualizations for internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain server side ETL pipelines and custom databases.
  • Design and implement data transformation algorithms.
  • Troubleshoot system interruptions and implement hardening measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Communicate effectively across functions, hierarchies, and diverse cultural contexts.
  • Assess emerging technologies and software solutions relevant to semiconductor manufacturing, then integrate them into operations with Lights Out manufacturing in mind.
  • Apply strong manufacturing process knowledge to data initiatives.
  • Automate data extraction and manufacturing workflows.
  • Perform operation performance analysis to support data driven decision making.
  • Collect and validate operational performance data using analytic methods on automation and system logs to assess process impact.
  • Extract critical production data from databases to analyze manufacturing impact.
  • Analyze large datasets and maintain data integrity across systems.
  • Demonstrate solid project management skills to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Design and develop software solutions that significantly improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field; other engineering majors considered with demonstrated strong software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant Data Engineer experience in the semiconductor industry or high tech manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong SQL query skills.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing a smock.
