Job Description
Opportunity in Jersey City, NJ (onsite) with a role focused on delivering complex, high-impact data solutions that support technology and business goals. You will work on a regulatory project centered on data lineage and drive data platform migration initiatives, including migration execution, intensive testing, and security and compliance assurance.
Compensation: USD 104,000 - 157,700 per year. Schedule: 1st shift (United States of America), 40 hours per week. Experience level: 7+ years.
Responsibilities
- Lead story refinement and guide delivery of requirements across the delivery lifecycle, including support for team members when technical complexities arise.
- Code complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data; build processes for data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management; assemble complex data sets and communicate information needed for deployment.
- Drive documentation of system requirements, partner with development teams to confirm data requirements and feasibility, and use architectural components to develop client requirements.
- Lead testing efforts by defining test plans and contributing to existing test suites across integration, regression, and performance; analyze test reports, identify errors, and lead triage to determine underlying causes.
- Coordinate work with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data management standards adherence; negotiate paths forward and communicate solutions to complex problems using knowledge of information systems, techniques, and processes.
- Lead complex information technology projects to support on-time delivery, adherence to release processes, and alignment with risk management; define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making.
- Mentor Data Engineers for continuous development, and monitor key performance indicators and internal controls.
- Own Authoritative Data Sourcing (ADS) management and regulatory reporting data lineage.
- Create automation and scripts for functionality, reconciliation, and data migration; support integrity validation and automation to facilitate migration activities.
- Work closely with database architects, database developers, application teams, and security teams to resolve issues.
- Execute database migration projects, support cutover execution, and drive post-migration stabilization.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of applicable experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with RDBMS platforms including Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 (LUW), or Oracle.
- Data lineage and ADS sourcing management experience.
- Experience with database migrations.
- Experience working with ETL tools, especially Informatica.
- Best practices in regulated environments are preferred.
