Job Description
CACI seeks a Data Scientist / Sustainment Engineer to work onsite in Chantilly, VA, focusing on statistics, machine learning, data mining, ITSM platform administration, SAaaS ServiceNow operations, and data visualization with Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and solve complex analytical problems and research data-driven solutions.
- Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights that inform business decisions.
- Design, build, and maintain machine learning models and algorithms to support analytical initiatives.
- Partner with data engineers to enhance data collection, storage, and data pipelines.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
- Support broad data management needs including data strategy, modeling, documentation, data feed identification, infrastructure management, ingestion automation, data transformation, cataloging, metadata management, quality, and governance.
- Develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports aligned to business objectives.
- Integrate Tableau with data sources such as SQL databases, cloud platforms, and spreadsheets.
- Stay current with Tableau features, best practices, and emerging BI trends.
- Respond to incidents and changes from customers, including Tier 2 triage, and manage alerts and reported issues.
- Escalate problems as needed and resolve tickets through independent judgment within defined support processes.
- Assist deployment teams with approved release packages and break fix solutions on ServiceNow in line with configuration, change, and release management policies.
- Help develop installation instructions and supporting documentation to facilitate system design deployments.
- Contribute to a team environment providing input on system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Patch cloud servers and applications, configure software, respond to outages, monitor performance, and troubleshoot system issues.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including data connection, manipulation, and visualization.
- Experience scripting in Tableau for automation, troubleshooting, integration, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and related visualization tools.
- Strong problem solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with business partners, engineering teams, and users requiring break fix actions.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to support others.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast moving environment with urgency and self motivation.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
- Tableau Certified Professional is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices.

Compensation
- Salary range: $103,800 – $218,100 per year
- Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications
