Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & Data Services

Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & Data Services at CACI supports critical national security missions and helps build data-intensive, cloud-based software systems for teams based in Fort Meade, MD. This onsite role in Linthicum, MD combines modern cloud development with hands-on work across APIs, services, and DevOps configurations. You will contribute to solutions used in demanding environments while working within a culture focused on integrity, trust, and continuous growth.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain applications, APIs, scripts, and services.
• Deliver on new feature requirements, enhance existing functionality, and resolve defects.
• Manage and maintain code using Git-based repositories.
• Create and update DevOps configuration files and deployment scripts.
• Support escalated customer issues by investigating problems and driving timely resolution.
• Route, transform, and enrich data across diverse systems.
• Collaborate with data providers and data consumers to keep integrations running smoothly and maintain system performance.

Key requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience.
• Experience developing APIs.
• Proficiency with AWS services.
• Experience using Terraform.
• Scripting skills (Python preferred).
• Familiarity with Git and Jira.

Compensation

Proposed salary range: $131,800 - $290,000 per year. Final salary can be influenced by factors including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
