DC/DC Converter Electrical Design Engineer

ATC Power Systems is seeking an experienced DC/DC Converter Electrical Design Engineer to join the Merrimack, NH team onsite. This role centers on developing military power systems, spanning architecture, design, testing, troubleshooting, and packaging across the full product lifecycle. It offers the opportunity to lead power-electronics projects from concept through production and support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the system architect for complete power assemblies, conducting studies to optimize performance, reliability, and integration.
• Design entire power supplies as well as individual DC/DC converters.
• Develop DC/DC converters for 30–500 W systems or total power solutions up to 3 kW.
• Select components for both power devices and control circuitry.
• Apply knowledge of high-frequency magnetics design.
• Lead efforts to improve the processes for producing power systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and packaging, while supporting existing products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of power electronics engineering experience.
• Magnetics design experience.
• Experience with DC/DC conversion and AC/DC front ends.
• Printed Wiring Board (PWB) design experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• US citizenship required without exception.
