Desktop Support Engineer
Job Description
On-site, part-time Desk-side support for end user computing in Ladson, SC, providing Level 2 troubleshooting and maintenance at corporate locations. Allied digital service limited offers $23 to $25 per hour (temporary / part time, on need basis) while supporting a structured environment with SLAs, problem tracking systems, and clear communication across sales, operations, and branch teams.
Responsibilities
- Deliver onsite operational and technical support to Authorized Users to meet specified SLAs
- Resolve incidents and problems related to end user computing (EUC) equipment
- Perform reactive troubleshooting to identify potential incidents and prevent repeat issues
- Assist Authorized Users with connecting to corporate resources, including coordination for LAN, print, and file services, WAN connectivity, and access to appropriate LAN segments
- Provide repair and maintenance for mobile devices
- Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment including desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated peripherals
- Provide software break/fix and replacement support for non-warranty assets
- Support network printers and scanners, including device configuration, IP addressing, and direct TCP/IP output
- Handle warranty and break/fix support for networked printers and scanners
- Configure and support end users on mobile computing platforms
- Provide VIP support for equipment including desktop devices, mobile devices, display screens, video systems, docking stations, communication devices, direct attached printers, local printers, scanners, and wireless networking
- Create, change, and remove printer configurations and queues based on requests and SLAs
- Provide on-site hardware support for troubleshooting end user computing technologies
- Maintain regular, accurate, and timely feedback on customer requirements, including supervising assignments and keeping communication active with sales, operations, and branch office personnel
- Use a problem management database and related systems to track and report calls and requests
- Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical teams and customers
- Perform deskside support services as required
Requirements
- 4+ years of related work experience
- Sound knowledge of imaging tools: Ghost, MDT, SCCM
- Sound knowledge of data backup and recovery tools
- Ability to install, upgrade, and migrate to Windows 10/11
- Experience deploying Windows 10/11 in large enterprises
- Experience configuring hardware and applications
- Experience configuring network connectivity and access to resources
- Experience configuring mobile computing
- Ability to monitor and maintain systems running Windows 10/11
- Knowledge of backup and recovery option configuration
- Sound knowledge of ServiceNow
- Sound knowledge of MAC OS (JAMF preferred)
- Knowledge of PC imaging via SCCM
- Certifications: A+ Certification and MD-100 Certification
- OK to work as a Backfill engineer on need basis only

- Compensation: $23-$25/hour (pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour)
